Repeat of Celebration of Filipino-American History Month Here at THD?

The Biden-Harris Administration is proud to celebrate Filipino American History Month, October, 2024. Our Nation has been immeasurably enriched by the contributions of Filipinos and Filipino Americans who have shaped our history and continue to ensure the United States remains a land of hope and opportunity for all.
💟

Last year, THD celebrated Filipino-American History Month starting with my talk 💟about the Philippines. This was followed by 5 Nights of Showing of Filipino Award- Winning Movies in our Cinema. The celebration was highlighted by a Filipino Special Dinner 💜featuring chicken Adobo ( Philippine National dish) as well as Pork Sinigang 💚. Pork Sinigang is rated as the #1 soup in the World by Taste Atlas this year.
I am reposting the websites below discussing the last year's celebration with the hope that our new Activity Director Kellie Schuyler will repeat the celebration of Filipino-American History Month here at THD.  The one-week of celebration last year did enhanced our sense of community belonging here at THD based on several comments from my THD blog readers.

It is worthy to note that Filipino-Americans have shaped US history and continue to ensure that it remains a land of hope and opportunity for All! Again, I am proud to be a Filipino- American. I came to the US in 1960 with a graduate student Visa and later became US citizens in 1972.

Here are the websites for last year Filipino-American History Month Celebration

Personal Note: I was told by my readers that reading my blogs have taught them a lot about Philippines History, Food, Culture and about Filipinos in General. So, I am happy to know that my blogs have not only inform, educate but also perhaps inspire someone once in a while. Thank you again, for your comments.
